Release & Heal – A Witch’s Work of Letting Go

🌑 Spell for Release
Purpose: To let go of what no longer serves you and clear space for healing, growth, and peace.
🕯️ You’ll Need
A black or white candle (for banishing and purification)
A small fire-safe bowl or cauldron
A slip of paper and pen
A pinch of salt (for cleansing)
A few drops of rosemary or eucalyptus oil (optional, for purification)
🌘 Preparation
Find a calm space where you won’t be interrupted.
Anoint the candle with oil if you wish, saying:
“By oil and flame, I name my intent: release.”
Sprinkle a circle of salt around your working space to purify it.
Light the candle and take several deep breaths. Feel your body relax with each exhale.
🌕 The Spell
Write on the slip of paper what you wish to release — emotions, habits, memories, names, or fears. Be honest and specific.
Hold the paper in both hands and say:
“This weight I’ve carried, I now set free,
By flame and breath, it’s loosed from me.
What no longer serves will fade away,
I stand renewed in light today.”
When you’re ready, burn the paper in the bowl or cauldron.
Watch the smoke rise and imagine your burdens lifting with it, carried away into the ether.
As the flame fades, say softly:
“I am cleansed, I am clear, I am whole.”
Scatter the ashes outdoors or bury them in the earth, symbolizing transformation and closure.
🌿 Spell for Emotional Healing
Purpose: To release pain, soothe the heart, and welcome peace back into your spirit.
🕯️ You’ll Need
A small purple or white candle (for peace and healing)
A bowl of water (for emotional cleansing)
A small piece of rose quartz or amethyst
A few drops of lavender or chamomile oil
A piece of paper and pen
🌒 Preparation
Find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed.
Light your candle and place it in front of the bowl of water.
Hold your crystal in your non-dominant hand (the receiving hand).
🌕 The Spell
On your piece of paper, write down the emotions, pain, or burdens that weigh on you. Be honest and specific.
Hold the paper over the candle flame just long enough to feel its warmth (not to burn it), and say softly:
“By fire’s light and water’s calm,
I release the ache, I claim my balm.
Heart be gentle, spirit mend,
The pain will fade, the peace descend.”
Gently fold the paper and submerge it in the bowl of water. Let it rest there as long as you feel called.
Take a deep breath and imagine your body filling with a soft lavender light — peaceful, soothing, wrapping around every bruise in your heart.
When you’re ready, say:
“What once hurt now fades away,
My soul is whole, come what may.”
Blow out the candle.
Pour the water outside (returning your pain to the earth to be transformed).
Keep the crystal near your bed or altar for continued healing.
