The Things I Don’t Share About My Practice

There’s a version of witchcraft that lives online.

It’s beautiful and carefully curated.
Soft candlelight, perfectly arranged altars, aesthetic spell jars lined up like they belong in a museum.

And I love that version… No really, I do love it.

But it’s not the whole story.

Not even close.

Not Everything Is Meant to Be Seen

There are parts of my practice that will never make it to a post, a video, or even this blog.

Not because they’re dark.
Not because they’re dangerous.

But because they’re mine.

Some things lose their power the moment they’re spoken out loud.
Some rituals are meant to exist in silence, without witnesses, without validation.

There’s a difference between sharing your path… and exposing your roots.

And I’ve learned to protect the roots.

The Quiet Work Hits the Hardest

The things I don’t share?

They’re not always pretty.

They’re the nights where I sit with emotions I’d rather avoid.
The moments where I question myself, my path, my power.
The shadow work that doesn’t fit into a cute caption.

No aesthetic.
No background music.
Just honesty.

That’s the kind of magic that changes you.

Boundaries Are Part of the Craft

There’s this unspoken pressure online to share everything.

Your tools. Your rituals. Your beliefs. Your results.

But witchcraft isn’t a performance.

And you are not required to turn your practice into content.

Some things are sacred because they are kept, not because they are seen.

I don’t share everything… because I don’t need to.

And neither do you.

Mystery Is Not a Weakness

We’ve been taught that transparency equals authenticity.

But there’s a different kind of authenticity… the kind that doesn’t explain itself.

The kind that simply is.

There is power in being a little unknowable.
In letting people feel your presence without handing them a map.

Not everything needs to be understood to be real.

What You Don’t See Still Matters

If you’ve ever felt like your practice isn’t “enough” because it doesn’t look like what you see online…

Let me say this clearly:

The most powerful parts of your craft will never be visible to anyone else.

They live in your thoughts. Your instincts. Your quiet moments. Your unspoken intentions.

That doesn’t make them less real.

It makes them yours.

Final Thoughts from the In-Between

There’s a version of me you see.

And there’s a version of me that practices in silence, in shadow, in stillness.

Both are real.

But only one is for the world.

So if you’ve been feeling like you have to share everything to be a “real” witch…

You don’t.

Keep some things sacred.
Keep some things yours.
Keep some doors closed.

Not out of fear…

But out of power.
