One Year of Raven’s Ramblings - The Witch Who Stayed
One Year of Raven’s Ramblings
The Witch Who Stayed
A year ago, this began as a small thing.
A quiet idea.
A voice in the dark.
Something uncertain, a little fragile, and not fully formed.
There was no guarantee anyone would listen.
No certainty it would last.
Just a feeling that something inside me needed to be spoken.
So I spoke.
It’s easy to look at something a year later and see what it became.
It’s harder to remember what it felt like in the beginning.
The hesitation.
The doubt.
The quiet voice asking:
“What if no one cares?”
But there was another voice too.
Quieter… but steadier.
“Do it anyway.”
And that was the voice I chose.
Because starting something is one thing.
Staying with it?
That’s something else entirely.
I showed up when:
- it felt awkward
- it felt uncertain
- it felt like I was talking into the void
I showed up when life was heavy.
When things were complicated.
When it would have been easier to stop.
And still… I stayed.
That is where the magic is.
Not in perfection.
Not in numbers.
But in consistency when no one is watching.
Over time, something began to take shape.
Not just a podcast…
but a space.
A place where:
- witchcraft feels real instead of performative
- imperfection is allowed
- quiet magic is honored
A place where someone can listen and think:
“Oh… it’s not just me.”
And that matters more than you think.
Episode 50 isn’t just a milestone.
It’s a shift.
Not into something louder.
Not into something flashier.
But into something truer.
Season 2 isn’t about becoming a different kind of witch.
It’s about becoming a more honest one.
Leaning further into:
- the quiet
- the real
- the parts of the craft that don’t always get seen
There are people who found me along the way.
Listeners.
Quiet supporters.
Those who stayed.
I may never know all of you.
But you are here.
And in some small way…
this space exists because of that connection.
There is a version of myself from a year ago who almost didn’t start this.
Who didn’t know what this would become.
Who wasn’t sure I could keep going.
And yet…
Here I am.
Still speaking.
Still creating.
Still building something that matters.
That’s the real milestone.
Not Episode 50.
But the fact that I became
the witch who stayed.
